18 października 1558 roku Król Zygmunt II August utworzył Pocztę Królewską, a na upamiętnienie tego wydarzenia 18 października obchodzony jest Dzień Poczty Polskiej. W związku z tą okazją Burmistrz Barlinka Dariusz Zieliński i Przewodniczący Rady Miejskiej Mariusz Maciejewski złożyli wizytę w barlineckim Urzędzie Pocztowym. Były życzenia, okolicznościowy tort oraz rozmowy z załogą na temat bieżącej pracy i warunków funkcjonowania placówki. Wszystkim pocztowcom z okazji ich święta składamy serdeczne życzenia i podziękowania za pracę dla naszej społeczności.
